About the Job
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior C++ Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance software applications used for real-time monitoring and analytics in mission-critical environments.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in modern C++ (C++20 or above), object-oriented programming, multi-threaded application development, and software architecture. You will work closely with software architects, QA engineers, power systems experts, and cross-functional teams to build scalable applications capable of processing large volumes of real-time and historical data.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance C++ applications for real-time systems.
Build scalable software capable of processing streaming and historical data efficiently.
Participate in software architecture discussions and technical design decisions.
Optimize application performance, memory utilization, and computational efficiency.
Develop modular, reusable, and maintainable software components following coding standards.
Build interfaces for integrating real-time telemetry, operational databases, and external systems.
Develop and maintain distributed and multi-threaded applications.
Troubleshoot software integration, deployment, and production issues.
Collaborate with software architects, QA teams, engineering teams, and customers.
Mentor junior developers through code reviews and technical guidance.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and technical reviews.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, software releases, and debugging tools.
Maintain technical documentation and support deployment and maintenance activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of professional C++ software development experience.
Strong expertise in Modern C++ (C++20 or above).
Experience building production-grade software applications.
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), software architecture, and design patterns.
Experience developing multi-threaded and high-performance applications.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and automated testing.
Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with POCO C++ Libraries.
SQL Server database experience.
Experience with C# and .NET.
Git version control.
Azure DevOps or similar Agile project management tools.
Experience with distributed systems and streaming data.
Networking and communication protocols knowledge.
Exposure to power systems, industrial automation, or utility applications.
Experience working on customer-facing enterprise software.
