We are looking for a hands-on Systems Administrator with strong experience supporting Windows Server, virtualization, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 environments.

This role is ideal for someone who can independently build and support servers, manage VMware and Proxmox virtual environments, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and handle day-to-day Microsoft 365 administration.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build, configure, and maintain Windows Server 2019, 2022 and Windows Server 2025 systems.

  • Manage and support VMware and Proxmox VE virtualization environments.

  • Create and maintain virtual machines, templates, snapshots, storage, and virtual networking.

  • Perform server migrations, cloning, patching, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting.

  • Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, user accounts, security groups, and permissions.

  • Administer Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID, including:

    • User accounts and licensing

    • Exchange Online

    • Teams

    • SharePoint and OneDrive

    • MFA and authentication

    • Groups and permissions

  • Troubleshoot Windows Server, virtualization, storage, networking, and authentication issues.

  • Perform server patching, maintenance, monitoring, and security hardening.

  • Support backup and disaster recovery processes.

  • Maintain technical documentation and server inventory.

  • Follow established IT security and change-management procedures.


Must-Have Skills

  • Strong Windows Server administration experience.

  • Experience building Windows Server 2019/2022/2025 systems.

  • Strong hands-on VMware experience.

  • Hands-on Proxmox VE experience.

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • Active Directory

    • Group Policy

    • DNS

    • Windows permissions

    • TCP/IP networking

  • Microsoft 365 administration experience.

  • Microsoft Entra ID experience.

  • Experience troubleshooting production server environments.

  • Understanding of backup, recovery, patching, and system security.


Nice-to-Have Skills

  • PowerShell scripting.

  • Experience configuring and supporting iSCSI storage, including shared storage for VMware and Proxmox environments.

  • Microsoft SQL Server support.

  • Linux or Ubuntu administration.

  • VMware-to-Proxmox migration experience.

  • Server monitoring tools.

  • SIEM, EDR/XDR, and vulnerability management experience.

  • Firewall and VPN knowledge.

  • Azure DevOps familiarity.

  • Experience in a SOC 2 or security-controlled environment.
