We are seeking an experienced Network Design Manager to lead the design and management of in-vehicle communication networks for automotive systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Electrical/Electronic (EE) architecture, automotive communication protocols, and tools like PREEvision and AUTOSAR DaVinci. This is a senior-level role requiring over 18 years of experience in automotive network design and communication system development.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical/Electronic (EE) Architecture Management:
Create, manage, and validate requirements and customer features using PREEvision.
Design logical architectures, perform variant management, and handle version control across different layers of EE architecture.
Communication Layer Design:
Develop communication layer packages, including signals, PDUs, and protocol-level configurations for protocols like:
CAN, LIN, CAN FD, J1939, Automotive Ethernet, CAN TP, J1939 TP, DoIP, and TSN.
Perform message synthesis and signal routing across various buses in the vehicle.
Software and Component Design:
Create software components, compositions, port interfaces, and data types.
Manage artifacts using a library-based approach to enhance reuse and efficiency.
Data Management:
Import and export system/ECU extracts and requirements via tools like Excel.
Customization and Metric Development:
Develop custom metrics and workflows in PREEvision to improve communication design, diagnostics, and performance monitoring.
Protocol Expertise:
Ensure seamless implementation of communication protocols, with a focus on Automotive Ethernet, DoIP, and TSN.
Design and optimize workflows for communication design and diagnostics.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate communication layers into the overall vehicle design.
Work with tools like AUTOSAR DaVinci Configurator/Developer and CANoe for design and validation.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics/Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.
Experience:
18+ years of experience in automotive network design and communication systems.
Technical Skills:
Strong expertise in PREEvision for EE architecture design.
Hands-on experience with AUTOSAR DaVinci Configurator/Developer.
In-depth knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, CAN FD, J1939, Automotive Ethernet, and DoIP.
Experience in testing and simulation using tools like CANoe.
Proficiency with configuration management tools like DOORS and JIRA.
Advanced knowledge of signal routing, message synthesis, and protocol configurations.
